Pastor Bob Oswald's Ordination Council

Grace Baptist Church of Delta, Utah has called for an Ordination Council to meet on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 for the purpose of examining Bob Oswald, Pastor of the Church. 

This Council will convene for the purpose of examining and questioning the Candidate on his salvation, his wife Caitlyn’s salvation, his call to ministry, his doctrine, and his practice. Our church invites any interested person(s) from your church to also attend the Council, with the understanding that they are observers and will not be allowed to direct any questions or comments to the Candidate. 

Please note that this Council is called as a friend of Grace Baptist, and is not intended to have any power over God’s local assembly: but is intended instead to help the Church make an informed decision regarding the Ordination of the Candidate. 

The Council will convene at 12:30 PM. A dinner will be served in the church’s Fellowship Hall at 5:30 PM. Lord willing, the Ordination Service will begin at 6:30 PM. 

To assist with plans for this Council and Service, please indicate your willingness to attend by registering here no later than Wednesday, September 5th, 2023. 

A love offering will be taken for Bob during the Ordination Service for the purpose of expanding his personal library of ministry resources.

In the event that you plan to attend and will need a place to spend the night (or more than one night), please be advised that accommodations in Delta are currently scarce due to a very large power plant project that is going on here. The sooner you secure your lodging, the better. If nothing is available in Delta, it is worth looking at options in Fillmore, Meadow, Scipio, Nephi, and possibly even Salina. All of these are less than an hour’s drive from Delta, with the exception of Salina which is just over an hour. Don’t forget to check for Air BnB’s as well as motels! You may find a nice one available in one of the even closer towns such as Lynndyl or Leamington—or perhaps even in Delta itself.
